Earlier in the year, I wanted to go in a different direction for the blog, one which didn’t feel too exhausting.
In 2021, I challenged myself during the multiple lockdowns and uncertainty in the world – to catch up on all the classic and contemporary films, which I usually miss out on and I have never watched and appreciated so many films, however taking that challenge into 2022, when the conditions were the same sapped the desire to watch films in this manner.
In March 2022, I posted the last in the series quite abruptly and while I never gave an indication, it felt right to end the series as the world is back to what we knew in 2019. I couldn’t dedicate the same amount of time that I had previously, my priorities in life have also changed, but I still enjoy writing this blog and will continue to do so in a different capacity.
I felt that I was putting my focus on certain parts of my life, while missing the point of what I want to do with my life. I want to develop and I want to create in different medias – from photography to films and even graphic design, I feel that I want to focus more into myself as oppose to other distractions, which won’t get me to where I want to be.
In my next post, I’ll wrap up the film list with a year end list.
