I said that when I was to take my hiatus that I would use it to put more time in my own creative projects and I want to show you what I have done in that time.
GEORGE BUCKS – CLEANEST
My first and long overdue photo shoot of 2022, creating with George is always an experience – it feels like when we were hanging out when we were younger talking about music, film tv and watching random videos on YouTube. We met on the bus after a long time of not talking and it immediately felt right to bring our different skills together, which culminated in creating this look for his song ‘cleanest’.
FORM
Having moved into a new space, I wanted too experiment with form, while applying surrealist aspects to create intrigue in the images.

Taking my first portraits in the new space, while utilising shutter drag creates new and interesting compositions

My first black and white photography of the year, during one of the hottest day of the year, shooting portraits of the people who I find inspiring and dynamic in their approach to creativity.
GEORGE BUCKS – SCRIBBLE
It’s been a while since I’ve made a music video, utilising green screen and locale scenery, while using the baking sun to illuminate the personality of the area and of course George Bucks – a lot of classic jackass, Kimbo Slice and classic grime on YouTube all day for this one.
CORFU
One of the prettiest places I’ve ever been and a needed remedy to the blues in the UK, as summer had just ended. I captured the day, the sunset and the night – with plenty of strays there to keep me company.
SHE’S NOT HERE ANYMORE
Kinda cheating with this one as it was filmed in 2021, but we got there in the end – I had more time to give to finalising the edit with this one and now we’re finally here. I had the most amazing team of patient people behind me to create this and I’m looking forward to making more with them in the future – hopefully the short will be released to the wider public soon.
I know it’s been a while, but in my next post I’ll share a little of what I have coming up in 2023, I’m gearing up for creative year and I’m excited to show you what is coming next.

Wow, I’m so impressed with the results of your creative projects! The photos are so interesting, especially the one of George Bucks – Cleanest. It’s amazing how you were able to bring different skills together and create such a unique look. I love the surrealist aspects you incorporated as well, it’s really intriguing. The black and white photos of the people you find inspiring and dynamic also stand out to me. How did you come up with the concept for the shoot, if you don’t mind me asking?

When it comes to ‘Cleanest’, so much of the look came from understanding the style of the subject, George Bucks.
We shot that in his backgarden, which in itself was a really cool location. It felt right to incorporate some surrealist elements as his music and his work generally is quite surreal, so I wanted to create a more dreamy look by exposing multiple times on the same frame create the look.
